Condolence From: jennifer tarlow
Condolence: I had the privilege to be Bozena's friend. She came into my life only 5 years ago, and as she reminded me the other night, we thought of and loved each other as sisters. We shared and played a lot together going to numerous concerts, theater, ballet, shopping for clothing, food, jewelry, eating out, making green juice, talking for hours on end, and travelling.
Bozena and I went to Peru and the Galapagos Islands together just 3 years ago. This was a trip of a life time, truly fun and memorable for us both. Machu Picchu is absolutely a world wonder and sight to behold but there's an ominously looming mountain behind it: Wayna Picchu it is called, or Young Peak; nicknamed the “Mountain of death”. This is not only a pretty mountain with an altitude of 2.693 meters; you can climb it as well. And that Bozena and I did, and in quite treacherously wet conditions. This is a significant challenge for the fittest of athletes and Bozena, with brave and unwavering determination, made it to the top. We did it together, she was sooo proud, and was literally on top of the world.
Bozena's child-like curiosity, mischievous nature (yes!), love for adventure (despite nervous hesitation at times), and pure joy of life were always palpable. Bozena was a diva to the sun, a beautiful model to the camera (hamming it up whenever she could), and she loved to laugh.
Bozena was so easy to be with, cared about my well-being, and was content with whatever came her way. She was gentle and exceptionally good natured while also being quite sharp and savvy. She taught me a great deal about friendship, strength, being humble, forgiveness, love, graciousness, and being kind -- because she modeled these attributes with ease. And loyalty, her family meant the world to her; there is nothing that she wouldn't do for them. And they for her -- one of the most devoted families I have ever encountered.
I adored this incredibly special, goofy, sweetheart. I am grateful to have had her in my life, and shall forever see Bozena's warm and welcoming smile; I will carry this with me, always.
With much love,
Jennifer
