Annette M. Giove

May 12, 1925 – May 7, 2017

~

Annette Giove (nee Patronaggio), 91, passed away on May 7, 2017 after a very long illness surrounded by her loving family.

Annette was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her husband, Louis, of 68 years, daughters, Linda Campion, Marianne Vastola and beloved son-in-law, Tony Vastola. Annette was predeceased by her dear brother, Robert; her loving daughter Patricia, and precious granddaughter, Priscilla, whom she sorely missed all these years.

Born and raised in Brooklyn to Anna and Samuel Patronaggio, Annette attended New Utrecht High School in Bensonhurst. After marriage in 1949, she moved to Queens where she made her home and raised her family. Annette was a School Aide at P.S. 174 in Rego Park for over 30 years and loved being amongst the smiles and laughter of children. But her proudest accomplishments and blessings were her 3 daughters, and being called Grandma for only four short years leaving memories enshrined in her heart forever. She defined the word “Mommy”. Her spiritual strength carried her fragile health throughout life’s tragedies and illnesses that beset her. But through it all, even in her weakened state, she never forgot a birthday, anniversary or get well wish or phone call for those she knew and loved. When complications and uncertainties arose in our own lives, she smiled assuredly and sang, Que Sera, Sera.

Her suffering is over and there are a couple of angels
awaiting her return to Heaven!
