As the sun is shining down on us today as we pay our last respects to a man who gave so much of his life to so many. He was a devoted husband, together they were the love story every girl dreams of having. A father who looked past all his children's faults and still loved them with all he had. A grandfather who took the time to share his wisdom. A great-grandfather that when he was going though what was the hardest part of his life, still managed to let her know he loved her with just a smile. A friend, a neighbor who always made time to say hello and lend a helping hand, maybe that's why that police uniform fit so perfectly. He has touched so many lives, I am sure more than anyone knows. My Dad has made me the person I am today, and I will always be grateful and always hold him in my heart.
