Annie Frances Kelly (June 12, 1934 – January 15, 2020)
Ms. Annie Frances Kelly died on January 15, 2020 at Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. She was 85 years old. The daughter of the late Patrick and Elizabeth (Flannery) Kelly, she was born on June 12, 1934 in Carrowkeel, Clonfanlough, County Offaly, Ireland. Frances is survived by her sisters, Ethna Dolan of Flebe, Belmont, Ireland, Margaret McEvoy of Laemonaghan, Ballycumber, Ireland, and Mary O’Shea of Middle Village, NY. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Corcoran, County Offaly, Ireland, her sister, Roisin Kelly, Clonfanlough, Ireland, Patricia Naughten, Birmingham, England, her brother, Peter Kelly, Clonfanlough, Ireland, and her sister, Sr. Brigid Kelly, OP of the Dominican Sisters of Hope, Newburgh, New York.
Frances immigrated to America when she was 19 years old. Frances was 23 years old when she was stricken with viral encephalitis and became handicapped. After intensive therapy, and still handicapped, she managed to work at United Cerebral Palsy in Brooklyn, where she helped process the payroll and later retired.
