Born in Santiago Chile to his mother Maria and father figure Carlos. His best friend Anna was like a sister to him. He immigrated to the United States in 1970 were he worked in car washes in the Bronx and which he said were owned by gangsters. That is where his fascination with the mafia began. He watched The Godfather and Good Fellas countless times. He loved watching professional soccer games and would scream GOAL which drove his daughter crazy. He also loved watching the Mets with his beloved Mima. Raul is a proud member of Local 32BJ for 44 years. He worked long hours to provide everything his daughter ever wanted. What he enjoyed most was watching his daughter dance at all her recitals and competitions. His granddaughter also loved to dance just like her mother and last year they both performed in the same show. Their biggest fan in the audience was Raul. After the show he told them both they were the best dancers on the stage as he always did.
