Obituary for Richard C. Bruno

Richard Bruno was a native New Yorker who grew up in the East Village, went to High School at Aviation and when he got out, joined the Navy and fixed planes during World War II.

When they switched from propeller planes to jet planes, he tried a number of trades before getting into the Steamfitters union, where he worked construction into his 80s.

He met his wife Mildred in 1950 at this vacuum cleaner company where she was the receptionist and he fixed vacuums. They married in 1953 and were together until her death in 2010. They had two daughters, Melinda and Cathy. He’s survived by Melinda
