Mary J. Underhill (DeLosa) age 87, passed away peacefully at home on June 8, 2021 after a long and valiant fight with renal disease, COPD and countless other ailments. She was born and raised in the Carroll Gardens section of Brooklyn, NY. Most of her early adulthood was spent in Brooklyn supporting her family. She married the love of her life, E. Robert Underhill in 1973 and moved to Queens where they lived happily until his death in 2007. She remained in Queens and Brooklyn until 5 years ago when she moved to NJ to live with her nephew Joseph and his family. She is predeceased by her parents Vincenzo and Nancy (Taranto) DeLosa, her brothers Christopher and Joseph DeLosa and her sisters Generosa DeCaprio, JoAnn Castagna and Helen DeLosa. She is survived by great friend Mary Murphy, her brother Victor DeLosa and her many nieces and nephews: Vincent and Frank DeLosa, Jenny DeCaprio Renner, Gregory DeLosa, Anthony DeCaprio, Joseph and Beth DeLosa, Michael and Liz DeLosa, Mark DeLosa, Nancy Ann Castagna and Bill, David and Dawn Castagna; her great nephews Michael DeLosa, Joey DeLosa, Bryan Maldonado, Cyler and Chase Castagna and her great nieces Danielle DeLosa, Jessica and Stephanie DeCaprio and Melanie Wahlert. Services will be held on Monday, June 14 at Hillebrand Funeral Home from 1-4 pm.
