He is survived by his wife of 23 years Maria Galaiko, a son George Blyakhman and
his wife Marina Blyakhman; a daughter, Nina Blakeman and her husband Leonid
Kvecher, his brother Alexander Lodkin and his two grand daughters Julia R
Blyakhman and Estella Kvecher.
He has a degree in mechanical engineering and worked in Leningrad in the
consulting engineering company. After immigrating to the United States in 1990,
he settled in Richmond Virginia. In 1998 he found love of his life Maria and moved
to New York. In New York he worked as a project monitor in environmental
companies. He retired and lived in New York until his last days of his life.
He loved his family, friends, dogs, good food and travel. He had incredible sense
of humor.
He will be dearly missed and stay in our hearts forever.
