A Loving Cousin

Arlene was a special person, not only to me but to everyone she met...she always had a smile on her face no matter what! I remember as a child looking forward to every Easter. I had no sisters of my own and our close knit family made Arlene and Gail more than just cousins to me.

Every Easter we would gather the family together and have a big family dinner at the Korpas family's home in Broad Channel. We would laugh and have lots of fun. Even though there were age differences between Arlene, me and Gail we always seemed to blend together.

The fun didn't stop there, because every Christmas my family would host the family dinner at our house in Brooklyn. My Mom went out of her way to cook big family meals and she took many hours planning activities and games for the whole family to enjoy. We had loads of laughs!

We had wonderful family holiday get togethers for many years...And I will remember those days forever!

God gave Arlene her laughter back in Haven! I will miss her!
